Summer Fun at the Library – Upcoming Events

We have some great children and adult programs planned for this summer that tie into our summer reading program. June 8th marks the Kick Off of Summer Reading with an event in the Multi-Purpose room at Dayton Elementary. Blue Mountain Wildlife will be presenting their rescue raptor program at 3pm and this is open to the public. We will be there with information on Summer Reading as well as the Bingo Cards for kids and adults. We have, as always, great weekly prizes to hand out and of course a Grand Prize at the end of Summer Reading.
In July we are hosting a star viewing party at Blue Mountain Station. We are having some members of the Tri-Cities Astronomy Club come with telescopes, there will be a presentation on our night skies, and we will all get a chance to look through telescopes. August will bring us the solar eclipse and the library has obtained 1000 pair of solar glasses that we will be sharing with our community so that everyone will get a chance to look at the sun during the eclipse. Keep an eye on our website as we move into our warm, sunny days ahead.
