Board of Trustees
The Columbia County Rural Library District is governed by a 5-member Board of Trustees. Board members are appointed by the County Commissioners. A full term is 5 years, with one term expiring every year. Trustees serve in this position with no compensation.
Main Duties:
- Set policy for the library district.
- Control library expenditures.
- Attend and participate in Board meetings.
- Hire and evaluate the Library Director.
- Advocate for the library and patrons.
- Follow the Board Ethics Policy and Code of Conduct.
Columbia County Rural Library Board of Trustees meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 7pm in person at the library and via Zoom. Attendees may join via zoom at: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/95859125585
If the 3rd Monday falls on a holiday, the meeting will take place the following business day.
Board Meetings are meetings between the Trustees and Director, but the public is welcome to attend. Every regular meeting has a public comment period on the agenda for community members to make comments. Public Comment Policy PDF
